Calculating the Private Sector Compliance Cost Savings of Legal/Regulatory Reforms
Seminar Description: In January 2011, USAID and the International Finance Corporation collaborated on a half-day training course that explored methodologies associated with evaluating the private-sector cost compliance savings associated with legal and regulatory reforms. The training included an overview and application of the new IFC standard methodological approach to calculating compliance cost savings, and included practical examples of how to apply this tool to specific reforms.
USAID also presented on the application of this work in Central Asia, where numerous countries have been aggressively undertaking these types of reforms.
